Tournament prospectus

Wallingford Indoor Series Leg 4, to be held on 1st February 2025.

Rounds

WRS WA 18m round

Event Format

A series of five WRS WA18 rounds across the indoor season. Each event will be followed by no more than two matches for the top scoring archers only.

The cuts will be determined once we know the number of participants, but are expected to be top 8 in recurve (with a bracket for 1st-4th seeds and a separate one for 5th-8th seeds), and top 4 in compound and barebow (with one bracket).

Awards

Awards will be made based on H2H points accumulated over the best 4 results in the season, then by the aggregate of the best 4 scores shot.

H2H points will be awarded as follows:
1st place - 12 points
2nd place - 9 points
3rd place - 7 points
4th place - 5 points
5th place - 4 points
6th place - 3 points
7th place - 2 points
8th place - 1 point

Dress code is according to the AGB Rules of Shooting

Drug testing

Archers competing at record status tournaments may be liable to drug testing. Competitors who are approached to give samples must comply. Non-compliance will be treated as a positive result. Parents/Guardians must check the relevant box on the entry form giving consent for junior archers (under 18s) to be drug tested if approached.

Important information

Timing

Registration and the venue opens at 9am. There will be two sessions. The first session is at 9:45am for recurve archers, and will be followed by the recurve matchplay. The second session is at 1:30pm is for compound and barebow archers, and will be followed by matchplay for those archers. We are hoping to finish by 5:30pm.

Venue

Each event takes place at Didcot Girls School. We are shooting in the main sports hall. Park in the main car park off Manor Crescent. Head to the right of reception along the fence and follow the path round. When you pass some containers on the left, turn left and the entry to the hall is on the right, next to the bike parking.

There are no refreshments available.

Entry fee is £75 for the whole series, or £20 per event. If you will not be attending all 5 events please let us know. Priority will be given to full series entries.

Standard target faces will be single spot for barebows and triple spot for recurve and compound. If you would like a different target face that is fine (subject to a target list working out), but please specify in the notes field.

ENTRIES NOW FULL FOR RECURVE (9.45am) SESSION. Recurves are welcome to enter but will not have a H2H element in the afternoon.
