Tournament prospectus

County of Oxfordshire Senior Indoor Championships 2024, to be held on 30th November 2024.

Rounds

WRS WA 18m round

Event Format

WA18m round to be shot in accordance with World Archery Rules of Shooting. Arrows will be shot in ends of 3 arrows in 2 minutes. There will be four archers per target.

Compound archers will shoot at triple spot faces.
Longbow and barebow archers will shoot at single spot faces.
Recurve archers should specify their choice of face at entry, otherwise will have single spot faces.

Elimination matches will be shot in the afternoon, with cuts depending on entry numbers.

Awards

Awards will be made for Men and Women, recurve, compound, longbow and barebow, and in U18, U21 adult and 50+ categories. All age groups are grouped together for match play.

County awards will be made based on the ranking round only. Open awards will be made based on the match play.

Dress

Dress code is according to the AGB Rules of Shooting

Drug testing

Archers competing at record status tournaments may be liable to drug testing. Competitors who are approached to give samples must comply. Non-compliance will be treated as a positive result. Parents/Guardians must check the relevant box on the entry form giving consent for junior archers (under 18s) to be drug tested if approached.

Important information

Timing

Registration opens 8am. ArcheryGB cards or e-cards will be required.

First session assembly at 9am followed by 3 ends of practice and the qualification round. Second session at midday. Match play will begin at approximately 3pm. Awards will take place immediately after shooting concludes, which should be between 5:30pm and 6pm.

Venue

Each event takes place at Didcot Girls School. We are shooting in the main sports hall. Park in the main car park off Manor Crescent. Head to the right of reception along the fence and follow the path round. When you pass some containers on the left, turn left and the entry to the hall is on the right, next to the bike parking.

Entry is open to all ArcheryGB members and members of other World Archery Affiliated bodies.

Entries open to County of Oxfordshire members from 4th October, and to the wider archery community on 25th October if there is space remaining.
